Tips on How to Find the Right Spiritual Healer

To start, this is definitely NOT going to be a post about why I should be your spiritual healer…

…because let’s be honest, I’m not for everyone. And there’s never going to be one person for everyone.

Variety is the spice of life after all.

We’re a cosmic soup with different spices and sauces that add up to a very unique flavor profile.

In this post, I’ll share with you a bit of how I’ve chosen my past and current mentors whilst giving some pointers of what to do/what to be cautious of when choosing a spiritual guide and/or mentor.

1. Clarify Your Goals and Intentions

Your journey to finding the right spiritual healer begins with figuring out what you want first.

Take a moment to define your goals and intentions clearly. Are you seeking emotional healing, physical health, or a deeper connection to your spiritual self?

Are you looking to support your dharma with a spiritual business coach?

By crystallizing your intentions, you'll set the stage for a more focused and fruitful search.

I also want to premise that being clear about what you want isn’t going to be the case for everyone. I’ve had experiences in the past where I felt like I needed support but had NO idea which direction I wanted to go down.

Was I looking for a galactic shaman, a medicine healer, a spiritual business coach?

Instead of beating myself up over not having clarity, I would give it up to God.

How?

I would say something out loud along the lines of,

“God, thank you for bringing me more clarity around who my next spiritual guide is going to be.”

Sometimes I would even go so far as to write a TO DO list for God, giving God the tasks that I had no control over but tasks I wanted to get done.

I would get my notebook out, write the title “GOD’S TO DO LIST” and write:

“Bring me my next spiritual mentor”

If I wanted to play even further with God’s manifestations, I would give God a deadline:

“Bring me my next spiritual mentor within the next 48 hours and make it obviously clear.”

What you do after the fact is probably the most important:

Forget about it and go about your day.

Forgetting about it and going about your day is vitally important. Because now you’re trusting that Gods got it.

When you’re at work, you don’t like your manager over your shoulder the whole day, do you?

The same works when you’re giving it up to God - let God do God’s job and take care of you without you watching over your shoulder the whole time.

2. Explore Various Healing Modalities

The realm of spiritual healing boasts a rich tapestry of modalities, each with its own distinctive approach.

From Reiki to Pranic Healing, Shamanic Healing to Energy Healing, there's a multitude of paths to choose from.

There’s a literal mentor for just about anything.

Take the time to explore these modalities and see which one resonates with you the most. Each offers unique benefits, so finding the right fit is essential.

I personally have had sooo many different types of mentors - a galactic shaman, tantric business and money coach, psychics, cellular resonance healer, plant medicine facilitator, entrepreneurship coach, hypnotherapist…

I’m grateful for each and every single one of them. Each one brought me to a deeper understanding of myself and my relationship to the divine God source.

Seek Recommendations from the Heart

One of the most genuine ways to discover an authentic spiritual healer is through personal recommendations.

Reach out to friends, family members, or colleagues who have ventured down this path.

Their firsthand experiences can offer invaluable insights into the effectiveness and authenticity of a healer's practice.

I will say though, it’s ultimately your experience to have. I’ve had many experiences with mentors who have been referred to me and it’s been TERRIFIC! Other times I’ve had friends recommend someone to me and it went TERRIBLE.

See it all as the grand game of experimenting with life and don’t get too caught up in thinking you’ll ever make a wrong decision.

Even when you see a healer and it’s less than an ideal experience, take it with a grain of salt. At least now you’re even more clear about what you don’t want.

3. Be Transparent About Pricing, Sessions, and Time Commitment

Understanding the financial aspects is vital. Discuss pricing and session lengths upfront to ensure that their services align with your budget.

Some healers may offer package deals or sliding-scale fees based on your financial situation.

Being open about your budget will help avoid any unexpected financial strains.

In terms of time commitment, get clear on how much time you’re going to spend each week. Also allocate for the downtime you might need.

I know for myself and the clients I’ve worked with - this work goes beyond just the 1 hour face to face session, you might need to give yourself extra space throughout the week for contemplation without any other distractions.

4. Listen to Your Inner Voice to find your spiritual healer

Above all, listen to your inner voice. If something doesn't quite feel right or if you harbor doubts about a particular healer, it's perfectly acceptable to explore other options.

Trusting your intuition is an integral part of your healing journey.

Know that YOU know yourself better than ANYONE.

And that’s the damn truth.

Your quest for the right spiritual healer is a profoundly personal and transformative journey.

Take time for introspection, research, and trust in your intuition.

By defining your goals, exploring various modalities, seeking recommendations, and scrutinizing the qualifications and ethics of potential healers, you increase your chances of finding the perfect guide on your path to healing and self-discovery.

Remember that the right spiritual healer can be a cherished companion on your journey to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
